Bernadette has around 20 years structured finance and strategic advisory experience of which more than 15 years experience within impact investments.

Bernadette is founding partner and (co) owner of FOUNT since 2011. Within FOUNT, Bernadette has been responsible for management of an affordable housing loan portfolio and has been leading several strategic assignments including assignments focusing on fundraising, feasibility studies, impact investment strategies and frameworks, investment policies etc. Bernadette worked with different type of clients in amongst others Nicaragua, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya and also for reputable impact investors including Oikocredit, Cardano Development, FMO, PharmAccess, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Before joining FOUNT, Bernadette co-founded Corporate Connect, a financial advisory firm with a focus on impact investing in emerging markets. Bernadette worked at Accenture as senior strategy consultant for financial services, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi investment banking (London) and ABN AMRO Bank’s investment banking division (Amsterdam). Bernadette has a Master degree in Financial Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Bernadette is currently Board member at Aqua for all.
